MindsEye, the upcoming action game from former Rockstar producer Leslie Benzies, is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5 this summer. This marks Benzies‘ first project since leaving Rockstar after the release of Grand Theft Auto V.
During Sony’s State of Play event, the game was showcased, revealing its sci-fi elements and engaging gameplay. Players will assume the role of Jacob Diaz, an ex-soldier equipped with a neural implant known as The MindsEye. This implant provides Jacob with fragmented visions of a covert mission that may have significantly impacted his life.
As Jacob embarks on a quest for answers, he encounters a mysterious faction intent on eliminating him. The gameplay, presented from a third-person perspective, features mechanics familiar to fans of the GTA series, including vehicular combat and strategic shootouts.
Additionally, Jacob is supported by a companion drone, which aids in scouting enemy positions and enhancing combat strategies. Developed by Benzies‘ studio, Build A Rocket Boy, and published by IOI Partners, MindsEye promises to deliver a thrilling experience for action game enthusiasts.
The game is set to be released exclusively for PlayStation 5 this summer. For more details on the recent announcements from the State of Play, visit the original article here.
