New Super Teams Emerged in Captain America: Brave New World

Captain America: Brave New World has set the stage for two significant new superhero teams within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film features Sam Wilson, portrayed by Anthony Mackie, as the new Captain America, following his introduction in the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

One of the primary developments in the film is the confirmation of a new Avengers team. President Thaddeus „Thunderbolt“ Ross, played by Harrison Ford, suggests that Captain America should assemble a new group of heroes. Initially hesitant, Sam Wilson ultimately embraces his role and recruits Joaquin Torres, the current Falcon.

Additionally, the film hints at the emergence of the X-Men. References to adamantium, a key element associated with Wolverine, suggest a connection to the mutant superhero team. Subtle nods throughout the movie indicate the potential rise of mutants in the MCU.

The post-credits scene introduces another layer by hinting at a possible adaptation of the Secret Wars crossover event from Marvel Comics. Samuel Sterns‘ comments about superheroes from different worlds needing to fight for their existence suggest that the MCU is preparing for a significant conflict involving various super-teams.

With the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars and the introduction of the Fantastic Four, the MCU is on the brink of expanding its universe. Captain America: Brave New World is currently in theaters, setting the groundwork for these exciting developments.
