The Vivo V50 has officially launched, showcasing significant enhancements in battery technology for budget smartphones. This new device is equipped with a robust 6,000mAh battery and supports 90W wired charging, allowing for quick recharges.
Recent advancements in silicon-carbide battery technology have enabled manufacturers to incorporate larger batteries into compact designs without compromising performance. This innovation is particularly beneficial for budget models like the Vivo V50.
In addition to its impressive battery, the Vivo V50 retains many features from its predecessor, the Vivo V40. It sports a 6.77-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a sleek design with a slight curve on all four sides. The device also includes Diamond Shield Glass, enhancing its durability.
The display can reach a brightness of 4,500 nits, making it suitable for outdoor use. Users can opt for configurations with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset.
Photography capabilities include a triple-camera setup on the rear, featuring three 50MP cameras, alongside a 50MP front-facing camera for selfies. Currently, the Vivo V50 is available in select Asian markets, with no confirmation on a release in western markets. If it becomes available in the United States, it is expected to be priced around $500 or less.
