New Monster Chatacabra Joins Monster Hunter Now in Exciting Collaboration

Capcom and Niantic have announced an upcoming collaboration between Monster Hunter Now and Monster Hunter Wilds. This update will debut on February 28, coinciding with the release of Monster Hunter Wilds.

The highlight of this collaboration is the introduction of the Chatacabra, a large amphibian monster. Players will have the opportunity to unlock and farm a unique armor set associated with this new monster. Additionally, several layered cosmetics inspired by Monster Hunter Wilds will be available, including a blow-up version of the Seikret mount and the “Hope” armor set, along with “Hope” versions of various weapons.

Upcoming Features and Seasons

Niantic also revealed details about the next season of Monster Hunter Now, titled “The Blossoming Blade,” launching on March 6. This season will introduce two new monsters: Glavenus and Arzuros. Players can also expect a new subspecies announcement on April 4 and a new Elder Dragon on May 5.

Despite this season lacking a new weapon type, there will be minor adjustments to the existing weapon lineup. Furthermore, significant updates are planned for the game’s 1.5-year anniversary on March 17, including a “material exchange” feature for special rewards and the ability to track rare subspecies.

Future Collaborations

The collaboration with Monster Hunter Wilds is just the beginning, as more monsters from Wilds are expected to join Monster Hunter Now in the future. This ongoing partnership suggests a commitment to expanding the game’s universe and content.
