A unique Pokémon-shaped Flamin’ Hot Cheeto, dubbed „Cheetozard,“ is currently up for auction as part of Goldin’s February collection. The auction, which began on February 10, started with a bid of $250 and has rapidly escalated, surpassing $1,000 within days.
The 3-inch Cheeto is believed to be one of the rarest pieces of Charizard memorabilia. It was discovered and preserved by 1st and Goal Collectibles, a Georgia-based store, between 2018 and 2022. The item was initially forgotten in a safe before being rediscovered and showcased in a custom Pokémon card frame.
After being acquired by Arena Club in November 2024, the Cheetozard was included in a mystery card pack, ultimately making its way to the Goldin auction block. The auction will remain open for bids for just over nine more days.
Historical auction data suggests that the Cheetozard could fetch a significant sum. In 2021, a McDonald’s chicken nugget shaped like an Among Us character sold for nearly $100,000. In comparison, a first-edition holographic Charizard card sold for a staggering $311,800, highlighting the potential value of unique collectibles.
Other unusual Cheeto shapes have surfaced in the past, including one resembling the late gorilla Harambe, which sold for $99,900. However, none have generated as much interest as the Cheetozard.
