Studio Koba, known for its successful title Narita Boy, has announced its latest project, Haneda Girl. This action-platformer is named after Tokyo’s largest airport and offers a different gameplay experience compared to its predecessor.
Haneda Girl features a character named Chichi Wakaba, who wields a sword and navigates through levels with agility and speed. Unlike Narita Boy, the controls are more responsive, allowing for precise movements such as wall jumps and dodging enemy attacks.
The game introduces a unique mechanic with a mech partner named M.O.T.H.E.R.. Players can switch between controlling Wakaba and the mech, which has a machine gun turret and can absorb damage. This dynamic adds depth to gameplay, requiring players to strategize between the two characters based on the challenges presented in each level.
Currently, a demo of Haneda Girl is available on Steam. The demo showcases the game’s fast-paced action and level design, emphasizing the balance between agility and firepower.
As excitement builds for the full release, players can explore the demo to experience the innovative mechanics and vibrant visuals that Studio Koba is known for.
