This announcement came during the ComicsPro retailer expo, where both companies‘ editors-in-chief shared the news of the upcoming event, which will feature two one-shots titled Marvel/DC and DC/Marvel.
Historically, Marvel and DC have engaged in various crossovers since the 1970s and 80s, showcasing iconic battles like Spider-Man versus Superman and the Teen Titans against the X-Men. The late 90s introduced DC Versus Marvel and the Amalgam Age comics, which blended characters from both universes, such as Batman with Captain America.
The last significant crossover, JLA/Avengers, was published in 2003, uniting the heroes of both publishers to save each other’s worlds. This new event aims to build upon the legacy of these past collaborations.
