Marvel and DC Comics Announce New Crossover Event

Marvel and DC Comics are set to collaborate once again, marking the first crossover in over two decades. This announcement came during the ComicsPro retailer expo, where both companies‘ editors-in-chief shared the news of the upcoming event, which will feature two one-shots titled Marvel/DC and DC/Marvel.

Historically, Marvel and DC have engaged in various crossovers since the 1970s and 80s, showcasing iconic battles like Spider-Man versus Superman and the Teen Titans against the X-Men. The late 90s introduced DC Versus Marvel and the Amalgam Age comics, which blended characters from both universes, such as Batman with Captain America.

The last significant crossover, JLA/Avengers, was published in 2003, uniting the heroes of both publishers to save each other’s worlds. This new event aims to build upon the legacy of these past collaborations.

Details regarding the creative team and specific release dates remain undisclosed. Fans can expect further updates as the event unfolds throughout the year.
