Forza Horizon 5 will officially launch on the PlayStation 5 on April 29, marking its transition from an Xbox exclusive to a multiplatform title. Players can look forward to racing through a digital replica of Mexico, with cross-play support already benefiting existing Xbox and PC users.
The PS5 version offers access to all car packs, including the popular Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure expansions. Additionally, a new content update called Horizon Realms will be available on April 25, introducing in-game achievements that reflect the game’s dynamic world.
For those interested in purchasing, Forza Horizon 5 will be available in three editions: the base game for $60, the Deluxe Edition with a car pass for $80, and the Premium Edition, which includes all downloadable content, for $100. Pre-ordering the Premium Edition grants early access on April 25.
All editions will be digital only, as there are currently no plans for a physical release. Developer Playground Games has detailed the graphics modes for the PS5, allowing standard consoles to run at 60 fps in performance mode or 30 fps in quality mode. For PS5 Pro users, enhanced fidelity and ray-traced reflections will be available.
Forza Horizon 5, initially released in 2021, has received acclaim for its stunning graphics and engaging open-world gameplay, appealing to both racing enthusiasts and casual gamers alike. This launch continues a trend of former Xbox exclusives becoming available on PlayStation, following titles like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and Sea of Thieves.
