Apple’s upcoming anthology series, Side Quest, is set to debut on March 26 on Apple TV+. Formerly titled Mere Mortals, this spin-off expands on the popular comedy series Mythic Quest, which explores the dynamics of a video game studio.
All four episodes of Side Quest will be available simultaneously, coinciding with the release of the season four finale of Mythic Quest. The new series will focus on the lives of the studio’s employees and the players affected by the MMORPG they create.
Adopting an anthology format, Side Quest will feature various actors in leading roles for each episode. The show was developed by Mythic Quest writers Ashly Burch, John Howell Harris, and Katie McElhenney, who also serve as executive producers. Burch reprises her role as Rachel from the original series.
Executive producers include Charlie Day, Megan Ganz, and Rob McElhenney, who were instrumental in creating Mythic Quest. The series is produced by Lionsgate, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Ubisoft for Apple TV+.
