Embracer Group has announced that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is nearing the significant milestone of 2 million copies sold. The action role-playing game, developed by Warhorse Studios, launched on February 4 across multiple platforms including PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
The game sold 1 million copies within just one day of its release, and within ten days, sales have nearly doubled. Notably, the title has performed exceptionally well on Steam, reaching over 250,000 peak concurrent players. This figure surpasses the original game’s peak of 96,069 players recorded seven years ago.
Embracer Group, which owns Warhorse Studios through its subsidiary Plaion, reported that the game has received positive reception from both players and critics. They anticipate that the game will continue to generate substantial revenues in the coming years, supported by a roadmap of updates and new content planned for the next 12 months.
In addition to Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Embracer has announced the upcoming release of Killing Floor 3, scheduled for the first quarter of 2025. The company has over 5,000 developers working on various projects, with plans to release ten triple-A games over the next three financial years.
Despite facing challenges in recent years, including layoffs and studio sales, Embracer continues to develop new titles, including a new game from 4A Games, the developer of the Metro series.
