Exploring Galawain’s Tusks in Avowed: Key Locations and Features

Galawain’s Tusks marks the final major map in Avowed, standing as the largest area to explore in the game. Players venture into this region in pursuit of the mythical Garden after navigating through three previous maps.

The aesthetics of Galawain’s Tusks differ significantly from earlier maps. Lava flows from Mt. Forja and Solace Keep, combined with an acid sea, create a stark red and grey landscape. Despite its appearance, the map offers a plethora of exploration opportunities.

Map Overview

Galawain’s Tusks consists of three distinct parts, allowing for full exploration despite some natural barriers like mountains and towers. Key locations within this expansive area include:

  • The Sallow Steppe
  • Slumbering Fields
  • Twinedwood
  • Solace Keep
  • Primordial Depths
  • Ash Forest
  • Mt. Forja

Access to Mt. Forja is limited initially, as players can only explore part of it during the main story quest.

Points of Interest

Galawain’s Tusks features numerous fast travel beacons and party camp waystones. Notably, the region contains:

  • Nine fast travel beacons
  • Three party camp waystones

Interestingly, no fast travel beacon exists within Solace Keep itself. Players must fast travel to a nearby beacon and walk to the city.

Additional points of interest include:

  • Strangled Adra: Located south of The Sallow Steppe.
  • The Voice: Found near the Restless Cavern in Slumbering Fields.
  • Pargrun Cache: Offers rewards and two pieces of the Totem of Perseverance.
  • Treasure Maps: Include Ancient Arrowhead, My Loyal Shield, and The Blade That Hungers.
  • Cartographer Sanza: The missing cartographer can be located near Solace Keep.

Exploring Galawain’s Tusks requires time and effort, but players will find the experience rewarding. For further assistance, players can refer to the Avowed guides hub.
