Fellowship, a co-op dungeon-crawler, is set to launch its open beta on Steam on February 24, 2025. This game reimagines the MMO dungeon experience by incorporating MOBA-like heroes, allowing players to engage in rhythm-based combat.
The latest hero introduced is Tariq, a damage-dealing character who wields a hammer. His combat mechanics revolve around timing, where players must hit a moving target on a curved bar to execute powerful attacks. Successful timing can significantly enhance damage output, while missed opportunities can result in a loss of effectiveness.
Players will need to strategically weave Tariq’s abilities into their attack patterns while dodging various hazards present in the dungeons. Each successful hit contributes to a rage meter, enabling the use of powerful abilities, but maintaining rhythm is crucial for maximizing damage.
In addition to Tariq, players can choose from five other heroes, each offering unique gameplay mechanics. The game encourages collaboration among players, promoting the formation of balanced teams with tanks and healers to tackle challenging dungeon bosses.
As players progress and acquire gear, they can increase the difficulty to experience the thrill that has captivated MMO enthusiasts for years. The open beta aims to provide a taste of this innovative approach to dungeon crawling.
