Focus Entertainment Confirms No Live-Service Model for Space Marine 2

Focus Entertainment has addressed concerns from fans regarding the future of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Following significant pushback, the developer confirmed that the game will not transition into a live-service model.

Fans expressed their dissatisfaction with the introduction of community events, which seemed to limit access to desirable items. In response to this feedback, Focus Entertainment assured players that these events will not dictate the overall game structure.

In a community update, the developer stated that while community events would still offer early access to items for dedicated players, all items will eventually be available to everyone. The intent is to enhance the experience rather than create frustration.

To further alleviate concerns, Focus announced that the emblem-less Mk VIII Errant Helmet will now be available for free to all players linking their PROS account to Space Marine 2. Previously, this helmet was only accessible through specific gameplay achievements.

Looking ahead, Focus Entertainment has outlined plans for substantial updates throughout 2025. This commitment to player feedback marks a significant step in maintaining player trust and engagement.
