Forza Horizon 5 will officially launch on PlayStation 5 on April 29, allowing players to explore the Horizon Realms. This announcement comes as part of Microsoft’s broader strategy to release more Xbox titles on competing consoles.
Players can look forward to accessing previously limited locations and the newly introduced Horizon Stadium Circuit. The PS5 version will feature PlayStation Trophies, in-game badges, and accolades that enable players to unlock new vehicles.
At launch, Forza Horizon 5 will include all perks from prior releases, offering nearly 900 cars and 40 themed updates. However, paid expansions such as Rally Adventure and Hot Wheels will be available for purchase separately.
Cross-play functionality will allow PS5 players to compete against those on Xbox Series X|S and PC. New content for the PS5 version, including Horizon Worlds, will also be accessible across all platforms.
Panic Button is tasked with developing the PS5 port, working alongside Playground Games and Xbox Game Studios. The game will be available in three editions: a standard version priced at $60, a deluxe version for $80, and a premium edition for $100. Players who choose the premium edition will gain early access to the game starting April 25.
