Kate Phillips Excluded from Upcoming Peaky Blinders Film

A major character from the acclaimed series Peaky Blinders will not appear in the upcoming Netflix film adaptation. Kate Phillips, known for her role as Linda Shelby, confirmed her absence from the project.

Linda Shelby, the wife of Arthur Shelby, played a significant role throughout the series, often trying to manage her husband’s violent tendencies. Her character’s journey reached a critical point in Season 5, leading to her departure from the Shelby family by the end of Season 6.

While there were discussions about including Linda in the film, these plans did not come to fruition. The film, which is written by series creator Steven Knight, aims to explore the Shelby clan’s fate as the historical backdrop transitions from the end of World War I to the onset of World War II.

Though the plot details remain largely under wraps, the film will address ongoing threats, including the character Oswald Mosley, portrayed by Sam Claflin. The cast for the film includes both returning actors and newcomers such as Barry Keoghan, Rebecca Ferguson, and Tim Roth.

The Peaky Blinders film currently lacks an official release date, but anticipation continues to build among fans of the series.
