In the game Avowed, players can discover three treasure maps in each region, leading to valuable loot. One of these maps, known as the Dead Man’s Mail treasure map, is located in the Great Sand Sea within the Shatterscarp region.
To find the Dead Man’s Mail treasure map, head to a small camp directly underneath the „S“ in Sea on the map. Inside one of the open tents, players will find a skeleton. Looting this skeleton reveals the treasure map, which directs players further north.
Finding the Treasure
To locate the treasure itself, players should travel to Tago’s Tower Beacon fast travel point in Shark’s Teeth. From there, head north to some nearby ruins. A fallen pillar will provide access to the ruins, where players should make their way to the eastern part of the area.
At a small campsite located against the ruins, players will find a treasure chest. To open this chest, three lock picks are required. Inside, players will discover the Necropants, a unique piece of armor with Legendary quality.
Necropants Details
The Necropants feature two unique passives: Spectral Slave, which summons a Spectre to assist in combat, and Poison-Proofed, offering a 30% resistance to poison build-up. Additionally, players have the option to scrap the Necropants for materials if they choose not to keep the armor.
