NetEase, the developer behind the popular hero shooter Marvel Rivals, has expressed interest in potentially releasing the game on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Currently available on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC, the game has not been made available for the original Nintendo Switch due to performance concerns.
During the DICE Summit in Las Vegas, it was revealed that the development team is already in contact with Nintendo and working on development kits for the new console. The team is assessing whether they can provide a satisfactory gaming experience on the Switch 2.
The Nintendo Switch 2 was officially announced last month, though details about its specifications remain limited. Early indications suggest that it will be a more powerful version of the original Switch, possibly featuring enhanced controller functionality that could improve gameplay for shooters.
While a release date for the Switch 2 is not yet available, a Nintendo Direct presentation is scheduled for April 2, which may provide further insights. In the meantime, Marvel Rivals continues to receive positive feedback on other platforms, with new characters like The Human Torch and The Thing set to join the game on February 21.
