Meta to Launch Standalone App for AI Chatbot

Meta is set to introduce a dedicated app for its AI chatbot, expanding its reach beyond its existing platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. This move aims to attract users who do not currently engage with Meta’s social media services.

According to reports, the standalone app could launch in the second quarter of this year, joining a growing market of dedicated AI applications such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot. The AI chatbot is already integrated across Meta’s platforms, providing functionalities like answering questions, generating images, and editing photos.

Recently, the chatbot enhanced its capabilities by incorporating a memory feature, which allows it to offer more personalized recommendations. Meta’s increased focus on AI comes as CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced plans to invest up to $65 billion to bolster the company’s initiatives in this sector.

An event dedicated to AI is also scheduled for April 29th, signaling Meta’s commitment to advancing its technology in this competitive landscape. For more details, visit the original article here.
