Konami has officially confirmed that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will launch on August 28, 2025. This announcement was made during the February State of Play event, which also showcased a new trailer featuring key moments from the game.
This remake of the classic 2004 title, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, introduces several new features. Players will have the option to switch between a third-person view and the traditional top-down perspective. A quick-select button for changing camouflage will aid players in stealth situations.
The game retains its original story and voiceovers while incorporating Easter eggs and new elements, including hidden GA-KO characters that blend into the environment. Additionally, a special game mode called Snake vs. Monkey allows players to capture Pipo Monkeys from the Ape Escape franchise.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will support the PS5 Pro and offer a preorder bonus of a special White Tuxedo outfit for Snake. A Digital Deluxe Edition will provide additional content, including a Sneaking DLC Pack and 48-hour early access to the game.
This title will be available on PC and Xbox Series X|S as well. While the game utilizes original voice files, it is notable that legendary director Hideo Kojima is not involved in this project.
