Monster Hunter Wilds Surges into Steam’s Top 10 After Launch

Capcom’s latest title, Monster Hunter Wilds, has made an impressive debut on Steam, reaching a peak of over 1 million concurrent players within just a few hours of its launch. The game initially attracted 880,806 players at midnight EST, and within seven hours, it climbed to a remarkable 1,076,024 players.

This surge places Monster Hunter Wilds at number 7 in Steam’s all-time most-played games based on concurrent player counts, surpassing popular titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, and Baldur’s Gate 3. Currently, only Counter-Strike 2 boasts more players.

The game’s launch timing was notable, occurring late at night in North America and early morning in Europe, which typically sees lower player activity. Despite this, the game’s numbers are expected to grow, especially over the weekend when player counts often peak.

However, some players have reported performance issues, leading to mixed reviews on Steam. Capcom has recommended solutions such as updating graphics drivers and adjusting game settings for those encountering problems.
