Mortal Kombat 1 Introduces T-1000 and Madam Bo as New DLC Characters

NetherRealm Studios has unveiled the first gameplay footage of the T-1000, a new DLC character for Mortal Kombat 1. This character, reminiscent of the iconic villain from Terminator 2, showcases a variety of attacks, including blade and hook arms, and features movements similar to those of Baraka and Kabal. The gameplay also reveals the T-1000 transforming into a liquid metal form, echoing the character’s cinematic abilities.

The T-1000 is voiced by Robert Patrick, who portrayed the character in the 1991 film. The gameplay includes a Fatality that recreates a memorable chase scene from Terminator 2, where the T-1000 attacks Johnny Cage in a dramatic fashion.

Alongside the T-1000, Madam Bo has been announced as a Kameo fighter. This character, a fan favorite from the base game, is an elderly restaurant owner who plays a crucial role in the story. Players will see brief gameplay of Madam Bo assisting the T-1000 in combat.

The T-1000 will be available on March 18 for Khaos Reigns owners and for purchase on March 25. Madam Bo will also be released on March 18 as part of a free content update for Khaos Reigns owners or as a standalone purchase.

The addition of the T-1000 marks the final DLC character in the Khaos Reigns expansion, following previously released fighters such as Cyrax, Sektor, Noob Saibot, Ghostface, and Conan the Barbarian. There is ongoing speculation regarding the potential for a third set of DLC characters, as well as the future direction of the Mortal Kombat franchise.
