Q-Games has announced a new addition to its PixelJunk series titled Dreams of Another, scheduled for release in 2025. This upcoming title was unveiled during Sony’s recent State of Play presentation.
Directed by Tomohisa Kuramitsu, known for his work on PixelJunk Eden, the game offers a unique twist on the shooter genre. Players won’t just use weapons for destruction; they’ll also create and transform their environments. The game features a surreal art style, showcasing dreamlike landscapes.
The trailer presents a character in pajamas wielding various guns while navigating through imaginative settings, including scenes with horses and robots. The visual experience relies on point cloud rendering technology, enhancing the particle-heavy graphics reminiscent of Rez Infinite.
According to the developers, the game’s philosophy centers on the idea of creation stemming from destruction. As players engage with the game, they will have the opportunity to alter the world around them in innovative ways.
Dreams of Another will be available on both PS5 and PS VR2, promising an engaging experience for fans of immersive gameplay.
