Niantic has initiated a multi-year partnership with Major League Baseball (MLB) to enhance the Pokémon Go experience at baseball parks across North America. This collaboration will kick off on March 27, 2025, coinciding with the opening day of the baseball season.
The first phase of this partnership will introduce MLB-themed PokeStops at various ballparks, alongside special gym locations and designated Pokémon Go routes connecting significant areas within the venues. Several MLB teams will also host dedicated Pokémon Go nights throughout the season, featuring unique timed research tasks, in-game cosmetics, and tradeable Pikachu backgrounds.
Special appearances of Pikachu will occur at scheduled moments during these events. The following MLB clubs are confirmed to host Pokémon Go nights:
- Cleveland Guardians: May 9
- Seattle Mariners: July 2
- Miami Marlins: July 18
- Milwaukee Brewers: July 25
- San Diego Padres: July 28
- Arizona Diamondbacks: August 10
- Chicago White Sox: August 11
- Baltimore Orioles: August 13
- New York Mets: August 25
- Boston Red Sox: August 29
- San Francisco Giants: August 29
- Minnesota Twins: August 31
- Texas Rangers: September 7
This partnership is set to continue for the next three MLB seasons, aiming to create a unique blend of digital gameplay and the live experience of attending a baseball game.
