NetEase has confirmed that there are currently no plans for a Player vs. Environment (PvE) mode in its game, Marvel Rivals. Despite ongoing speculation among players about the potential for new game modes, the developer is focused on refining the existing gameplay experience.
Recent discussions at the DICE Summit in Las Vegas highlighted the developers‘ commitment to experimenting with various gameplay modes. However, the producer, Weicong Wu, emphasized that the team hasn’t finalized any plans for a PvE mode.
While players have expressed interest in a PvE experience, Wu noted that introducing such a mode would significantly alter the game’s dynamics. The development team is exploring different approaches, including the possibility of a lighter mode or special events.
Marvel Rivals continues to receive regular updates, with new characters being introduced approximately every six weeks. The next update is set to bring Human Torch and The Thing to the roster on February 21.
