Wizards of the Coast will release a dedicated Spider-Man set for Magic: The Gathering on September 26, 2025. This announcement comes after the successful introduction of Marvel-themed cards last year, which featured iconic characters like Black Panther and Captain America.
During the New York Toy Fair, six cards from the new set were revealed, showcasing Peter Parker alongside classic villains such as Venom, Green Goblin, and Doctor Octopus. Each character will have unique abilities. For instance, Spider-Man can remove stun counters, while Venom can exile target creature cards from graveyards. Doctor Octopus will utilize his tentacles to control enemy artifact cards.
Additional cards will include other villains and Spider-heroes, including Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy. The decision to create a standalone set stems from the desire to fully represent Spider-Man’s extensive character roster, ensuring no significant character is overlooked.
Pre-orders for various bundles are available now, with prices ranging from $38 for a Collector Booster box to $210 for a 30-pack Play Booster box. Fans can secure their sets through Amazon or local game stores.
