The second season of The Last of Us is confirmed to premiere on HBO and Max on April 13. This adaptation of Naughty Dog’s acclaimed games will return with Joel and Ellie, along with new characters.
Set five years after the first season, the storyline promises to delve into the evolving conflict between the two main characters and the increasingly perilous world they inhabit. This season will consist of seven episodes, all airing before the Emmy eligibility window closes on May 31.
While the second season is based on The Last of Us Part 2, it will not cover the entire narrative of the game in one go. Viewers can expect the story to unfold over at least two seasons.
For those eager to experience the game, The Last of Us Part II Remastered will be available on PC starting April 3. This release will be accessible via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
