Upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds Patch Targets Bug Fixes, Not Performance

Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive a patch on March 4, addressing several critical bugs that hinder gameplay progression. The update will go live at 12 AM PST (3 AM ET / 8 AM GMT) across all platforms.

Players have reported issues particularly during Chapter 5-2, titled „A World Turned Upside Down,“ where a necessary NPC fails to appear, blocking story advancement. Additionally, features such as „Grill a Meal“ and the „Ingredient Center“ are not unlocking as intended, which typically occurs during the main quest.

Upon the update’s release, players currently in online sessions will be disconnected and required to download the patch to continue playing. This update aims to resolve the progress-blocking bugs but does not address ongoing performance issues that many users have experienced since the game’s launch.

Despite achieving record-breaking concurrent player counts on Steam, Monster Hunter Wilds has received a „mixed“ user review rating due to persistent performance problems. Capcom has not provided a timeline for future performance improvements, although they suggest players ensure their system meets minimum requirements and that drivers are updated.
