Games Workshop’s renowned Horus Heresy saga is making a transition into the tabletop roleplaying game (RPG) genre, with a release scheduled for spring 2026. The project is being developed by Cubicle 7, known for their work on titles like Wrath & Glory and Imperium Maledictum.
The RPG will immerse players in the tumultuous events surrounding the Horus Heresy, a pivotal moment in the Warhammer 40K universe. Players will assume the roles of Legionary Consuls, a type of Space Marine, embarking on a narrative that begins with the betrayal at Isstvan, a critical turning point in the storyline.
As players navigate the conflict, they will face challenges such as survival against traitorous forces and the complexities of trust within their ranks. The game promises to deliver an epic scale of storytelling, allowing players to create their own legends within this beloved setting.
In preparation for the launch, multiple core rulebooks and a starter set will be available for pre-order this summer. This new RPG aims to engage both seasoned fans and newcomers to the Warhammer 40K universe.
