Gameplay Overview
Players control a black square on a grid made up of four, five, or six tiles. The objective is to land on a moving X as many times as possible within a 60-second timer. Each successful hit sends the X tumbling off the grid, adding to the player’s score.
Intensity and Features
As players chase the X, the game becomes increasingly intense. The music escalates, and visual effects, such as flames shooting from the bottom of the screen, add to the urgency. An announcer provides encouragement, enhancing the chaotic atmosphere.
Levels and Progression
XTRIS offers three levels: Tetromino, Bridge, and Squiggle. Players can track their scores against others and monitor their performance trends over time. A Zen Mode is also available, allowing players to practice without the pressure of a timer.
Customization Options
The game includes unlockable characters and symbols, enabling players to customize their experience. Options range from swapping the X for a frog to a slice of pizza.
